In a small, warm house in the woods, three bears—Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear—live happily. Papa Bear likes his porridge hot, Mama Bear likes hers warm, and Baby Bear likes his just right. They each have a chair: Papa Bear’s is big, Mama Bear’s is soft, and Baby Bear’s is small and just right. Their beds are the same: Papa Bear’s is big, Mama Bear’s is medium-sized, and Baby Bear’s is small.

One sunny morning, while the bears are out for a walk to cool their porridge, a girl named Goldilocks, with golden hair, walks by. She sees the little house and, curious, decides to go inside. The house smells nice and warm.

Goldilocks goes inside and sees three bowls of porridge on the table. She tries Papa Bear’s porridge but finds it too hot. She tries Mama Bear’s porridge but finds it too cold. When she tries Baby Bear’s porridge, she finds it just right and eats it all.

After eating, Goldilocks looks around and sees three chairs. She sits in Papa Bear’s chair but finds it too big. She sits in Mama Bear’s chair but finds it too soft. When she sits in Baby Bear’s chair, it is just right, but she accidentally breaks it.

“Oh no!” Goldilocks says. “I didn’t mean to break it. I should be more careful.”

Feeling sleepy, Goldilocks goes to the bedroom. She tries Papa Bear’s bed but finds it too hard. Mama Bear’s bed is too soft. But Baby Bear’s bed is just right, so she falls asleep.

Meanwhile, the bears are coming home, talking about their day. Papa Bear says, “I can’t wait to eat my porridge!”

Mama Bear says, “I hope it’s still warm.”

Baby Bear says, “I’m ready to sit in my chair and read my book!”

When they get home, they notice something is wrong. Papa Bear says, “Someone has been eating my porridge!”

Mama Bear says, “Someone has eaten my porridge too!”

Baby Bear sees his empty bowl and says, “Someone ate all of my porridge!”

They then see the chairs. Papa Bear says, “Someone has been sitting in my chair!”

Mama Bear says, “Someone has been sitting in my chair too!”

Baby Bear sees his broken chair and says, “Someone broke my chair!”

Finally, they go to the bedroom. Papa Bear says, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed!”

Mama Bear says, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed too!”

Baby Bear sees Goldilocks still asleep in his bed and says, “Someone is sleeping in my bed!”

Goldilocks wakes up and sees the three bears looking at her. She says, “I’m so sorry for eating your porridge and breaking your chair! I didn’t mean to cause any trouble.”

Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear look at each other. Papa Bear says, “We’re happy you enjoyed our porridge, but next time, please ask before coming in.”

Mama Bear smiles and says, “We can share our porridge, but we need to know who’s visiting.”

Baby Bear says, “And we can fix the chair together.”

Goldilocks feels better and says, “I’d like to help fix the chair and share my picnic with you. Thank you for being so kind!”

The bears and Goldilocks sit together, share a picnic, and fix the chair. They laugh and enjoy each other’s company. Goldilocks learns to ask for permission and to share.

From then on, Goldilocks and the bears are good friends, always helping each other. They show that kindness and talking things out make friendships better.

And so, they lived happily ever after, enjoying their time together and sharing many happy moments.
