Little Red Riding Hood

In a lively forest full of chirping birds and rustling leaves, Grandma Willow lived in a cozy little house. She loved to bake and filled her home with the delicious smells of pies and cookies.

One sunny morning, as Grandma Willow worked in her garden, a friendly woodcutter named Tom passed by. "Good morning, Willow! Are you baking again today?" he asked with a smile.

"Yes, Tom! My granddaughter is coming over, and I want everything to be perfect," Grandma Willow replied excitedly.

Meanwhile, Ellie, a young girl who wore a bright red cloak from her grandma, was getting ready for her visit. The cloak made her feel brave and ready for adventure.

Ellie said goodbye to her friends. "I’m going to see my grandma! She lives through the woods," she said happily.

As she walked into the forest, Ellie met a chatty squirrel named Sam. "Where are you going with that big basket, Ellie?" Sam asked.

"I’m going to visit my grandma. She makes the best cookies!" Ellie replied.

Unbeknownst to Ellie, a sneaky wolf named Grey was watching her. He came up with a plan to have some fun. "This is a perfect chance," he thought with a grin.

Grey rushed to Grandma Willow’s house and, finding her in the garden, introduced himself politely. "What a lovely garden you have! Can I help you with the weeds?"

As they worked together, Grey distracted Grandma Willow with stories, allowing him to sneak inside the house while Grandma was busy.

Once inside, Grey put on one of Grandma’s gowns and waited for Ellie, trying to hold back his laughter.

When Ellie arrived, she knocked on the door. "Grandma, it’s me, Ellie!" she called.

"Come in, dear!" Grey’s voice, pretending to be Grandma, came from inside.

Ellie felt something was not right as she entered. "Grandma, what big eyes you have!" she said, looking at the figure in the bed.

"All the better to see you with," Grey replied, trying to sound gentle.

"And what big ears you have!" Ellie said.

"All the better to hear you with," Grey said, adjusting the bonnet to cover his ears.

"And what big teeth you have!" Ellie exclaimed, stepping back.

"All the better to eat... cookies with you!" Grey laughed, unable to keep up his disguise.

Ellie realized it was the wolf, not her grandma. Instead of being scared, she laughed. "Oh, Mr. Wolf, you tried to trick me! Where’s my grandma?"

Grandma Willow and Tom the woodcutter quickly came in. Tom gently showed Grey out and told him to stick to being a wolf and not pretend to be Grandma.

Ellie and Grandma hugged, happy to be together. "You were clever and brave, Ellie. You saw through the wolf’s tricks because you stayed smart," Grandma said proudly.

Ellie spent the day baking cookies with Grandma, and even Grey was invited to taste them—if he promised to be nice. From then on, Grey visited as a friend, not a trickster.

The village admired Ellie’s bravery and cleverness, showing everyone that a smart mind and kind heart can handle any problem.

In the Woods of Wonder, Ellie, with her red cloak shining, kept exploring and was always ready for new adventures, but she always stayed clever and alert.
