The Lost Cloud
00:00 / 05:10

High up in the sky, there were many clouds floating around. Some were big and fluffy, some were small and thin. They drifted together, playing games, and making shapes in the sky. Puffy was one of the fluffiest clouds. Puffy loved floating with his cloud family, drifting above fields, rivers, and mountains.

One sunny morning, Puffy and his cloud friends were playing hide-and-seek. Puffy loved this game. He would hide behind the big rain cloud or blend in with other puffy clouds. Puffy giggled as he hid behind a big, dark cloud, peeking out to see if anyone was looking.

“Found you, Puffy!” called out the Sun, shining brightly from above.

“Oh no! You always find me!” Puffy laughed, puffing himself up as if to hide better next time.

The clouds went on floating, and Puffy felt the wind gently pushing him. He floated up, up, and away without realizing it. He was too busy enjoying the soft breeze. But when he looked around, his cloud family was nowhere in sight. Puffy was all alone in the wide blue sky.

“Hello?” Puffy called out softly. “Where did everyone go?”

Puffy drifted and drifted, trying to spot his friends. He passed by birds flying by, but no other clouds were around. Puffy felt a little nervous. “I’m lost,” he whispered. “How do I get back?”

Just then, the Sun appeared from behind a tall mountain. The Sun smiled kindly at Puffy. “Hello, little cloud,” said the Sun. “Are you lost?”

Puffy nodded, feeling a little teary. “Yes, I lost my cloud family. I don’t know how to get back.”

The Sun beamed gently. “Don’t worry, Puffy. I’ll help you. Just follow my light. It will guide you.”

Puffy felt a bit better. He floated slowly, following the Sun’s warm light. But after a while, the Sun started to set, and Puffy felt worried again. “What if I can’t find my family before it’s dark?” Puffy wondered.

As the sky turned orange and pink, a Rain Cloud appeared beside Puffy. She looked gentle and kind, with soft drops of rain falling from her edges. “Hello there, little one,” said the Rain Cloud. “What brings you this far?”

“I’m lost,” Puffy explained. “I was playing with my friends, but now I can’t find them.”

The Rain Cloud nodded and thought for a moment. “Hmm, the wind must have carried you too far. But don’t worry. Follow the gentle raindrops. They will lead you closer to home.”

Puffy followed the soft rain, feeling the cool drops tickle his sides. He loved how calm and soothing it felt. But as they floated along, Puffy still didn’t see his cloud family.

“What if I never find them?” Puffy whispered sadly.

The Rain Cloud gave Puffy a comforting smile. “Sometimes, when you’re lost, you just need to keep going. The sky is big, but your heart will help guide you back.”

Puffy nodded and continued to drift, trying to be brave. He watched the sky slowly darken and fill with twinkling stars. Puffy had never been out this late before. Everything looked different.

Just when Puffy thought he might float forever, he saw something familiar in the distance—tiny specks of white puffs, moving slowly. Puffy squinted his fluffy eyes. Could it be?

“Is that my cloud family?” Puffy asked, his voice full of hope.

The Rain Cloud nodded. “Yes, Puffy. You’re almost there.”

Puffy felt his fluffy sides puff up with excitement. He floated faster, feeling the gentle breeze help push him along. As he got closer, Puffy could hear the happy voices of his cloud friends.

“Puffy! There you are!” they called out.

Puffy’s heart filled with joy. “I’m back! I found you!” he cheered.

His cloud family surrounded him, giving him a big, puffy hug. “We were looking for you,” said the biggest cloud. “We missed you!”

Puffy smiled. “I missed you too. I got lost, but the Sun and the Rain Cloud helped me find my way.”

The clouds all smiled, happy to have Puffy back. “You’re never alone in the sky, Puffy,” they said. “The sky is big, but we are always connected.”

Puffy looked up at the stars, feeling safe and loved. He knew now that even if he ever got lost again, he could always find his way back.

The wind gently blew, carrying Puffy and his cloud family across the quiet, peaceful night sky. Puffy sighed happily, feeling the soft breeze and the gentle touch of his family.

“Goodnight, Puffy,” whispered the clouds.

“Goodnight,” Puffy whispered back, closing his fluffy eyes as he drifted off to sleep, floating high above the world, wrapped in the comforting embrace of the sky.

And with that, Puffy knew he was home.

Puffy snuggled into the sky, feeling warm and safe, knowing that tomorrow would bring a new day of gentle breezes, soft sunshine, and happy cloud games.
