The Tiger and the Wise Rabbit
00:00 / 02:28

The tiger was very hungry. His stomach growled loudly as he walked through the forest. He hadn’t eaten for days, and he was very grumpy.

In the forest, Rani the Rabbit was hopping around, gathering herbs. She saw the tiger’s big footprints and knew he was nearby.

“Oh no, the tiger is so hungry,” Rani thought. She decided to watch from a safe place to see what would happen.

The tiger roared, “I can’t find any food! This forest is useless!”

Rani, who was very clever, had an idea. She hopped over to an old well covered by a wooden plank.

The tiger came closer, and Rani said, “Hello, Mr. Tiger! I know where you can find a big meal.”

The tiger’s eyes lit up. “Really? Where?”

“Follow me,” Rani said. She led the tiger to the well. The tiger was so hungry that he didn’t notice where they were going.

“This is a special place,” Rani said as she reached the well. “Look down there, and you’ll see a feast.”

The tiger looked down the well, hoping to see lots of food. As he leaned over, Rani quietly pushed the plank away. The well opening became larger. The tiger lost his balance and fell into the well with a splash.

“Help me!” the tiger cried from the bottom. “Get me out of here, Rani!”

Rani hopped to the edge of the well and looked down. “I’m sorry, Mr. Tiger. The feast was a trick. There’s no food down there, just a way to keep you out of my forest.”

The tiger roared angrily. “You tricked me, Rabbit! I’ll never forgive you!”

Rani shook her head with a smile. “It’s important to think carefully before acting. Maybe this will help you learn.”

The tiger tried to climb out of the slippery well, but he couldn’t get out. Rani hopped away, hoping the tiger would learn to be more careful.

From then on, the tiger didn’t bother the forest. He learned to think before he acted. And Rani continued to live happily in the forest, ready to help others but always with a clever plan.

The forest went back to being peaceful, and Rani’s smart trick became a well-loved story among the animals.
